The Baron Gerard Museum


 

 

You can visit the Baron Gerard museum located in the old Episcopal Palace of Bayeux, place de la Liberté, which is close to the hotel . The museum houses a rich collection of art and traces the history of the city of Bayeux.
The Baron Gerard museum houses a collection of paintings from the 15th and 16th centuries, collections of applied art made up of of Bayeux porcelain and lace among others, as well as a department dedicated to the regional archaeology.
Among the paintings on display, we see among others, the works by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Gustave Caillebotte, Eugene Boudin, Jacques Louis David, Kees van Dongen, Maurice Utrillo, Maurice de Vlaminck ...
